About Our Ministries

Board of Stewards
The Steward Board attends to the Spiritual and Financial Health of the church. They assist the Pastor and Ministerial Staff in carrying out the church program that fosters and increase spiritual maturity in the body.  As we carry out the great mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, The Steward Board provides prayer, encouragement to the members of the church and serve as role models of excellence in being about our Father's business.

The Trustees are also responsible for budget control under the leadership of The Pastor to ensure enough funds for operations and are accountable for all funds.   They also plan for the future need of the church over the long term.

Young People and Children’s Division (YPD)

The YPD, under the leadership of the Women's Missionary Society, provides meaningful youth training programs and opportunities for leadership experience in all areas of church life. By providing training in Evangelism, Christian Social Relations, and Educational programs, the YPD is designed to connect youth more fully to the mission of the church and increase knowledge of the African Methodist Episcopal Church history and the scriptures.

YPD Pledge:

I pledge my willing and untiring service to all efforts of the Young People's and Children's Division to aid the needy and suffering people, regardless of race, color or creed. I further pledge to take the Bible as my guide, to aid my church, and to attend meetings regularly. In all these tasks I seek the Savior's guidance.

Sons Of Allen
Mission: Men Leading Men to Christ
The Sons of Allen organization seeks to create a ministry for men, both clergy and lay, which addresses the needs for distinctive ministries for men who are faced with spiritual, social, political, and psychological challenges.  Their goal is to equip and encourage men to implement ministries modeled by our founder, Richard Allen, as he sought to meet needs in his community.

Christian Education Department
The Department is responsible for resourcing this global denomination for faith formation and leadership development throughout the lifespan for faithful and effective discipleship. As the Ephesian Epistle speaks of the variety of gifts and callings, it is through the variety of ministries, which make up the Department of Christian Education that the teaching ministries of the church is carried out.
